It doesn't say who it is from? I'd say avoid the links and delete the email.

I never click links in emails I don't know. Delete and be safe.

If you roll your cursor over the name of the sender it will identify who the REAL sender is. Or, you can also identify the sender by hitting Reply and you'll see the senders real email address. Then you'll know whether it's legit or a scam.

I've seen those e-mails a lot... in my spam box anyway! Gmail seems to be filtering these out pretty well, but yeah that looks like a malware scam to me. If you have the link to download it, I'd be interested in deploying it in a VM to see what it really does.

Thanks for the quick replies, I will follow everybody's advise, as well as my instinct and delete it. Some of these things are becoming very convincing for old farts like me, at 71.

E Bay Scam Site
Not sure if this is the right place, please Admin feel free to move it. Yesterday I received an Email, supposedly from E Bay, stating that a member had been refused payment by me. Didn't open it, as I do very little business at EB, but just before I closed it and contacted EB, my IS (AVG) told...

what's this scam?
I'm helping my mother with her Win 7 system. She had an odd thing happen yesterday. She gets a call from someone with an Indian/Paki accent saying that her computer is broken, but they can help fit it. Puzzled, she goes over to her machine and, holy moley, there is a prominent warning message there...
