My wife is big into coupons and uses this site and their coupon printer. I stumbled across some information that leads me to believe it is not safe or at least wasn't a few years back. Anyone have any info on this for me? Thanks

The site has mixed ratings at WOT: coupons.com | WOT Reputation Scorecard | WOT (Web of Trust)
At URLVoid.com, it had two findings as "suspicious", however both were due to being included in the WOT listing as well as the hp HOSTS file.
I always trust VT ( VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner ) well before I trust WOT. VT 's rating is based on malware and security, while WOT is based on a mob like rating system, simply composed of people's opinions. WOT might make me think twice before I were to whip out my credit card and purchase something, but VT will stop me from ever even thinking about going to the questionable web site.
I believe most of the negative things said have to do with the coupon printer software you must install.
Their EULA apparently states that the registry keys installed with the coupon printer will not be removed if you uninstall the coupon printer. Have a look here:The Coupon Printer allows us to offer you this coupon. You should know that:

Quite frankly, I wanted a coupon once that required the installation of that "little piece of software". I said no thanks. A Guy
If lady is using discount site that is very strange because ladies really dont care about money.
