    What OS?

Someone I know that works as an Easy Tech at Staples related this telephone conversation he had with a lady who called regarding a problem with her computer:

    "What OS are you using?"
    "Osicks"
    pause
"Osicks? Oh, you mean OS Ten?"
    "No, it is O-S-X".
"Yes, mam. That is OS X, it's pronounced O-S-ten, the X is a Roman Numeral for the number 10."
    "What's a Roman Numeral?"
So he goes on to explain what a Roman Numeral is.
Finally, "Can you fix my computer?"
"No, mam. We don't work on Macs."

Sort of reminds me of one of apple's slogans (think different), it's a shame people don't think at all nowadays!

Good job he didn't say O SEX!

I've got a Roman nose, I've been told it's roamin' all over my face.

I do believe the world is going quite insane though.

To give you an idea of how standards have slipped, prospective teachers in the UK are being allowed to resit basic literacy and numeracy tests up to 37 times in an effort to get them qualified to go into the classroom.

    I despair, I really do.

After all, we all know there are three types of statisticians: those who can count and those who can't.

Scientist: "We can demonstrate that the average human being only uses a third of his or her brain."

Reporter: "So how does one use the other third?"

    Fuse all four halves together.

The top half and the bottom half.
The back half and the front half.

    Thus four! Logic is great!

    Too true.

Statistics have shown that 2 out of 10 car accidents in the UK are caused by drivers who are drunk.

It therefore follows that 8 out of 10 car accidents are caused by drivers who are sober.

So why is the government cracking down on drunk drivers when it should be the sober ones to go after?

Pick the bones out of that one, Mr Spock.
