Never had the chance to ask this before but it's caught my attention that I've rarely seen threads with help from some of the highest ranked Gurus here. Is it possible to get that highly ranked purely through the social channels here?

Greg, I think that many of these pals work on the BSOD threads that I never touch and maybe you don't either. Wading thru dumps was my job for too many years. It is too fatiguing.

We all have our little specialties and thus form subclubs within the club.

Hi Wolfgang - When JK was trying to entice me into BSOD threads I spent some time there looking around and got to know the crew a little more. Ultimately I decided to stick with the work I knew the best because I also don't enjoy that work as much. But I've grown to really respect the talent involved and often refer to it as "where the geniuses reside."

Now that I think about it, those Gurus surely deserve more rep than what I see them earning.

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here. I only want to see hard work rewarded fairly. From what I've seen John has really tried to assure this. It's my own personal experience and I hope everyone else's.

Good question. Personally I know nothing about dump files and have tried to make sense of a few. My "expertise" is more hardware and driver related. Your own help in the Installation and setup is impressive too.:)
