I've been looking at screenshots of the Windows 8 UI. Man, I'm going to get it just for that if nothing else.

I just finally was able to get WIN7 and love it. I see no reason to upgrade to 8 for the foreseeable future, meaning years.

I said this long ago on another forum:

If you think Microsoft is having a hard time getting rid of Windows XP, wait until they try to get rid of Windows 7.

I can't really say yes or no because I didn't plan to get Win 7, but then my PC bit the dust (Was using XP), so, if something happens to the PC while 8 is out, yes. If everything keeps chugging along fine, probably not.

Likely not even if I manage to come up with the $1500 (plus a few hundred for two more 23" monitors) to build a new gaming/multitasking rig. Well, not unless Windows 8 can make older XP games play better than 7. Otherwise, I'm sticking with my 7. Besides that, 8 might have even more CPU/RAM consumption than 7 does, and I hate that. I'd actually like to see someone come up with the perfect combinations of settings and tasks and all the rest of it for 7 that brings the resource consumption back down to XP's level, so I can use those for actually running applications, games and the rest of it instead of it being guzzled down/saved or whatever 7 does with it all lol.

So touching a keyboard or mouse that other people have been using is any different?

Those that say they are sticking with 7 kinda remind me of the people who refuse to move beyond XP.

Not really as 7 isn't a 10 year old OS.
