'Good' main characters in books, movies or TV shows who turn 'bad'.
People that ask technical questions, but want everything done for them and are unprepared to look up or try and learn a bean for themselves when they so easily could...
As I sit here preparing to deflect the brickbats headed my way, I feel that this is a sore point with me.
The post count is not necessarily a good indication of the quality of users posts. Some people just post to be posting and jack up their post count. I normally don't post to just say, I agree. Some topics have too many "I agree" posts which I believe it just a post count post..
I don't believe that posts should be counted in the chillout or most of the non-technical topics.
Now I have said it. I have a thick skin.

I post on a lot of the fun threads, but my postcount means nothing to me... to be honest I don't even bother to have a "please add 'rep" signature, it's not about numbers or points, it's about taking part...
That would be fine with me!
Though after 2,000 posts they make no difference to your status.
"I agree" posts sometimes will help convince the OP to go with the posted help.
I have done it on occasion with Gregrocker, Nemiro and others when it appears the OP is unsure.
You have to admit the cures often seem extreme to newbies.
Words of encouragement are helpful.
I can well understand that. My last girlfriend had a real drinking problem, and it was worse because she knew that I didn't care much for alcohol, so she tried to abstain, until it got the best of her one day, and when I got home, she was passed out in bed.
When I explained to her that I didn't care if she drank, but wouldn't tolerate drunkenness, she seemed to understand. I gave her enough each day that she could buy a little to drink, and when I came home, brought along one of those big bottles of beer for her to have before bedtime, and that seemed to take care of her. At least, I never saw her drunk again.
