Well pardon me sir for originally trying to help explain your confusion regarding your new badge status (the machinations of how the system works kindly linked to) and the confusion regarding the 'superstar status' of some by diplomatically stating facts as observed by a member who has been here since the beginning and who has watched the site and it's culture evolve. No names were mentioned, nor was any particular forum section.

My simple statement of how things are could not been more general.

Nowhere in my post did I intentionally belittle you. In fact it appears I was under the misapprehension my tone was one of agreement. To date all my interactions with you have been of a polite, friendly helpful nature.

The fact that erroneous conclusions were once again jumped to and umbrage taken is quite frankly insulting.

Good day to you sir.

I just hate it. It's a huge turn off when girls do it too.
I totally agree with you, along with those who are supposed to be professional in their work. When I grew up.. one was never to be seen chewing gum in public.. it's still a good rule .
Yeah those sportsmen too constantly on the cud and that spitting too and they slide over the ground - it's enough to make you feel sick

Yes camaraderie is what it should be about. People in distant places sharing common interests.

Wasn't directed at you, or any individuals in particular. Was a generalization as things had gotten testy. I generally don't have space in my life for negativity, especially over trivial things. Call me a Pollyanna if you wish, but it is how I am. A Guy

Kill the HP welcome/poppup screen. It annoys me.
When I boot my computer, (a HP) , screen pops up, (picture of a hand and HP.) I don't want that. It annoys me. It is not necessary. I want to kill it. I don't want to hear how difficult it is, to remove. Merely, I want it not. mmm, someone must know how to get rid of it.
