By no means does that apply to you.
No mate if it was me you were referring to I didn't take it as me being incompetent (there would be a lot of dead people around if I were lol!!) I meant purely not competent with computing which I admit I am not not

Yeah MJF I always appreciate tips and advice especially in here as I have copped a hiding to nothing on other forums at times and I have to say that you (and many others) have always helped me out in the past without making me feel a ruddy fool
I feel a bit guilty in a sense as I can not offer much in return

Before anyone takes that personally, I want to say that I have the utmost respect for everyone who helps in that forum. Just venting a little...
Sorry about that.

But it seems that I'm rarely online when the waves of Crashes and Debugging posts come. I live in Australia which means I'm quite a few hours ahead of America. A fair amount of Windows 7 users are American so if any American users post BSOD threads then I'll most likely be asleep (or busy). I might also note that Jan (JMH) is Aussie too but she's usually up late so it might not affect her as much as me.

I do try and post where I can though.

No problem. As I said, I was just looking to vent a little. I wasn't really mad at anyone; I was feeling the pressure of helping for so many hours straight. I appreciate all the work you do and understand the time difference. I imagine there are times when you still get quite a few threads from that part of the world or from night owls in the US.

Thanks for caring. Also, thank you for all you do to help on these forums.

Where did everyone go? there used to be 2-3 regulars doing that. I respect anyone who can make sense of a dump file's Klingon language. Panais has been doing a few too.

Kill the HP welcome/poppup screen. It annoys me.
When I boot my computer, (a HP) , screen pops up, (picture of a hand and HP.) I don't want that. It annoys me. It is not necessary. I want to kill it. I don't want to hear how difficult it is, to remove. Merely, I want it not. mmm, someone must know how to get rid of it.
