    1. Me (at least it was, last time I looked in the mirror).
    2. Now (at least it was just then, now it's just now (at least it was just then,...)).
    3. Today. Except for those in different time zones, where it could be either yesterday, today, or even tomorrow.
    4. Press 9 once and then 1 twice.
    5. Thanks to gravity, rain always falls.

    1. My name is a semi-unique designation given by my parental units and entered into the public register shortly after my birth. Although there is a good chance other people with both my first and last name are somewhere on the planet, it's not likely I will ever meet them, and in my own circles my name will clearly identify me and serve to get my attention when called out by another member of the human species (or a talking machine or parrot).

    2. This question requires a more precise formulation. Is the current time requested that of the total amount of time elapsed since the Big Bang, relative to another fixed point in time, or based on a human-developed calendar and clock measurement scale? If yes, which one? Note that according to Einstein's relativity theory, spatial location as well as the influence of local gravity wells will further complicate the process of giving a definite answer to this question.

    3. It is Thursday, which occurs once every 168 hours for a duration of 24 hours. This particular Thursday is set to expire and be replaced by the notion of Friday at a time point roughly 2 hours and 6 minutes from now. ("Now" refers here to the moment at which the previous sentence was typed in by its writer into this forum.)

    4. Pick up the phone and attempt to faithfully reproduce the following sounds, each consisting of two overlapping tones: bLoop BLeeP BLeeP. Repeat this process until an emergency operator responds. (Note, this will not work in areas where pulse dialing is used. In this case, imitate the following sounds: Tiktiktiktiktiktiktiktiktik <pause> Tik <pause> Tik.)

    5. Only partially. Spain as a whole appears to be an even mix of flat and mountaineous areas, and rain tends to fall more in the northern areas where weather is influenced by the nearby ocean. Therefore, a considerable amount of rain will fall on hills and mountains; however it does tend to collect in the basins which may be considered "the plain".
Opinions tend to diverge on this matter, although a popular musical has effected public opinion to sway toward a "yes" answer.

I was going to ask something about a chicken laying an egg and a half, but after Corazons superb reply, I think I'll just go have a piece of pumpkin pie instead!
