Computer monitor tossed over fence by FedEx man

The poster writes: "Here is a video of my monitor being 'delivered'. The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate. Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken."

Some might imagine that the monitor was already broken and that the gentleman from FedEx was merely tossing it over the fence to put it out of its misery.

FedEx drivers are lazy. I had a $2000 order being delivered from Amazon a few years ago and left a big yellow note on my door to leave the package at the office (FedEx does this all the time), when I got home the box was sitting at my front door, along with the notice I'd left. The sad thing is is that you have to pass the front office coming and leaving the appartment complex

Another time I had a package delivered and they just dropped it at the front door without even knocking.

Complaints to the FedEx office results in condescending remarks like "OK, well talk to the driver"

Anyway I try to avoid using FedEx like the plague.

I'll never trust Fedex from now on but you should sent this video to some senior official and maybe sue them if possible

When I sent my printer back for repair the clerk at the local Fedex slapped the shipping label on it, and proceeded to drop it onto the cart, after it made the required "Bang" I quipped "Hey be careful with that".

Her reply was "Oh that's okay, were allowed a three foot drop"
That fence in the video is more than three feet.

With all the un/under employment around, seems to me this shouldn't be a hard problem to fix

I'd advise all of us to keep reporting these delivery people (FedEx, UPS, etc.) anyway. It can only help, and can't hurt. I've actually had my service improve after I've reported several of them for various violations.

I worked for a nationwide delivery company during the early 90's. During that time I bought a video camera (Big sucker too, took a full size VHS tape)

I had to go into the dock on Saturday to sort some freight and I took it along as my wife had never seen the dock.

When I came home & she saw the tape, she started laughing and it was then that I noticed all the freight that was sailing through the air. Letters and small packages flying around with the occasional loud crash in the background.

During a sort, you had to watch yourself. When someone yelled "Heads up!", almost everyone instinctively ducked.

Phew, just as well you were running Apple on it, can you imagine what it would have done to the Windows?
