Facebook & the "Timeline" Saga...

Purely curious, but I'm sure there must be plenty of members using Facebook, and I wondered how many have opted for (or seen, or heard of...) this all singing, all dancing, new page mode they've christened timeline?

Introducing Timeline | Facebook

It's being rolled out globally. Trials began in New Zealand. Many of those whom are in touch with me have said they're not getting my updates since I decided to give the new feature (which you cannot go back from...) a blast.

I've also noticed I am not getting notifications as per subscribing to news and announcements from friends and contacts - even though I am definitely listed as subscribing to their feeds.

Scolling through a timeline causes images and articles to juxta-position when you move up or down the page, objects jumping from LH to RH columns just for an optimal fit within whatever Facebook senses your screen is able to display.

In short I think it's awful and yet, in spite of many of my own contacts agreeing, there seems only to be somewhere around ten percent of people who're delighted - and a far higher number who're abhorred by the new layout.

So what do any Seven forumites hold as a view if you're also a Facebook user?

I think its nice, does have loads of glitches. though i'm not aware of all. when i first read the article about timeline i thought we would be able to use it temporarily or was an additional facebook feature ;/. i didn't think it would change the entire profile lay out AGAIN!..it was just a trick imo
