    Legal Questions of Software licences

If I have one computer (every physical component the same) but multiple OS's installed; if I have one license copy of a piece of software and I install that licensed copy on all my operating systems does that equal installing multiple copies on multiple computers.

Depends on what the EULA of that piece of software says.

Agreed. Some EULAs allow one install only at a time and some are one use only at a time, so it pays to read carefully.

Since it is one physical PC, it would seem likely that installing it multiple times would not be against the EULA. It is purchased for use on one PC, but probably doesn't specify how many times on that one PC. A Guy

Each OS would be considered a separate instance, regardless of which hardware, by which installing software in both OSes on the same device with one-install at a time only restrictions would still violate that EULA. I'm not sure the vendor would care for a one-off, but if someone wants to follow the EULA licensing for a package, you have to think like a lawyer .
