    Sounds about right, when CompUSA were going out of business in my area I went into the store a couple items during the remaining merchandise sell off. With signs outside that said "up to 60% off" and such.

    Well maybe a ream of paper was reduce by 60% somewhere, but the laptops and cameras were all reduced by like 2-3% at best. Games by 5%. And this was CompUSA which has some of the highest inflated prices around to start with. Was not even worth entering the store.

    The problem is that they say Up to X% Off without specifying a lower level, in other words not stating Between X% and Y% Off. That way, even if they just simply knock a couple of cents off the price, they are still technically correct with the statement Up to.
