Windows 7 - how to make storage web site like megaupload.com

im not looking to buy a domain name right now

im trying to figure out
what kind of hardware ill need

then software then ill worry about ads domain name and ECT.

so how would i go about creating a web site such as megaupload

starting with hardware that's needed

i don't actually know - but here are some things to think about:

it's not a simple trivial task that you have set yourself.

a lot depends on how big you want to be - do you envisage having millions of users, or only a handful?

a business model is very important too - how do you plan to make money?

these days, you would most probably hire the hardware/software from a big cloud provider such as amazon s3 or microsoft azure - then you won't have to worry about buying and maintaining the hardware, nor data connectivity. you would also only pay for what you (and your users) use, such as with other utilities such as water, electricity etc - so rather than going out and buying loads of servers, and worrying about how to keep them reliably secure and online etc, you would hire them experienced in these matters and pay a monthly fee.

i was thinking of making it a site like veehd maybe
instead of megaupload and focus on streaming more then dl
im trying to figure out how much it would cost me here's the plan
didn't really want to put it all out but what the heck
if some one takes my ideal so be it and needs to be out there
i would like to start small and expand into something like MU R veehd
as it gets more known ill get more storage and ect.

but in the long run i want to try and make it legal
buy the rights to stream the video's uploaded to the site by my users
which might be costly i dont know
i know ill have to maintenance the uploads frequently due to infrig videos being uploaded but in the long run i want it to be kind of like hulu but 100x better
which brings the megaupload/veehd in to play
what made me even think of creating a website is sopa and protect ip
because theres movies from 1932 that on the net and movies such as that shouldn't be token from the USA R better phase blocked from the us
yes i know this but im thinking i could pull it off and maybe it becomes a big time site and at the same time maybe put money in my pocket,copyright holders pockets and ect.
but if it fails oh well at least i gave it a go
it will be a while before it sets sail on the web even if sopa and pro ip don't make it
this site i still want to make it i gotta figure every thing out 1st before i go saving money for something that i know nothing about R even how 2's
