    Retirement Plan

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1,000 of Delta Air Lines stock, you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of wine one year ago, drunk all the wine, then turned in the bottles for the recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

    WHS,
No wonder you won't send me a bottle of wine.....You think I will drink the bottle and re-cycle the wine.

I drank it myself. Had a nice Vouvray today with lunch which was chicken in Roquefort sauce (where you use the Vouvray too).

Personally, I'll keep the $1000 and skip the wine (wine is foul tasting) so I'll still have my grand a year from now! (Of course inflation will take its bite)

    Strollin,
    Keeping the grand for what?
Eat, drink and be happy today......Who know's what tomorrow brings.

Good wine is nectar - no better than nectar it's wine. Actually I think wine can be a good investment if you don't drink it.

Don't you love the long term stockmarket trends financial planners trot out. Of course they always get their cut no matter what.
