We've used Chicken-Fil-A a lot on our trips to Florida and very nice chicken it is too - far better than KFC.

Seems like they have outlets in every State, some more than others.

They wanted to close them all down in California because of that.
That sounds strange to me. Back home in Germany all shops are closed on Sunday and holidays - by law.

crikey - talk about the stone age! whatever happened to freedom?

we had a law passed in the uk back in 1994 that allows shops to open if they choose.

i think it's only easter sunday when they have to close - i can't think of a good reason why though.

I live in a small town called Paisley. I say small town but it's actually the largest town in Scotland. It's right next to Glasgow and Glasgow Airport is actually in Paisley. It's pretty big (i'm sad to say that I haven't actually fully explored it).

This is what Paisley Town Center looked like in the 1900's

This is what it looks like now

The Paisley Abbey ^ has been here since the 12th century. We have mills here which were used in 1886, my grandfather used to work in one of them.

I live here because I was born here, I wanted to move to Chicago but it takes 10 years to get a green card and I have no relatives living in America so...

But before the law came in, shops would sale carrots for £400 with a FREE TV.

i used to go to the cinema in paisley a lot when i was a kid and used to get a lift over at the st mirren matches.

i left scotland when i was 15 and moved to the midlands, it was such a relief not to have to be afraid of saying whether you were a celtic or rangers supporter.

i moved down to cornwall 16 years ago as i was unemployed at the time and figured i could be a beach bum.
i would sooner be unemployed where there are palm trees than in the midlands.

this is the view twenty mins from my house
