    Change width of FF URL Bar?

    By editing the UserChrome.CSS file, how do I make the URL/Naviation Bar in FireFox smaller? I wanna save space by putting all my favorites right next to it.

    Not sure where it is in UserChrome.CSS but if you use th GUI option to size it it remembers the setting

    if you right click just above the navbar, and got to customize. you can drag the bookmark tool bar to the right side of the nav bar. i have 4 bookmarks in the toolbar, which leaves well enough space for address entries in the nav bar. i think more than 6-7 would make it too small. just disable the bookmark tool bar after, or you'll have an empy area.

    delete the text on the icons... that'll make a lot of room. *srugs*

    about how many bookmarks are you trying to put on there? (just curious)

    I'm not stupid. I know how to make the favorites Favicon only, and put them next to the taskbar. Every time I restart FF, they're gone, and I have to repeat the process over again.

    Can someone just give me a UserChrome.CSS tweak?

    i wasnt calling you stupid. you asked, i gave the only answer i knew.

    to be fair, you should have said that FF isnt saving your settings correctly in your OP. that could be an underlying problem, in itself.

    Cam, instead of copping an attitude, perhaps you would be better off taking this issue to a Firefox forum.

    Just a thought...

    Found the UserChrome tweak. If anyone wants it, here it is:

    /* Url bar width */
    #urlbar, #urlbar-container {
    min-width: 245px !important;
    max-width: 245px !important; }
