RC stuff

I recently revisited something I was interested in as a kid which is these rc helicopters. Of course back then they were several hundred bucks, now you can get a large one for 40-100 if you know where to shop.

Anyhow, I've been modding the circuit boards, boosting power and modifying them however I can.
I've actually increased the mini's flight time per charge from roughly 4 to 15 minutes.

The two larger ones are outdoor models, but only the biggest one can really handle the wind at all.

Anyhow, was wondering if anyone else messed with rc stuff.

Nope. But I used to have one of those ones that you pull on a cord to wind the propeller up. It used to just fly around hopelessly for about 30 seconds then crash into a wall.

I was given one very similar to the large one in Maguscreed's pic. I had the same experience as you and your son (except I never got the damn thing off the ground )

Now it doesn't go even sideways, let alone take off before going flat.
