A Very Serious Question About Mobile Internet
In all seriousness, my tutor has asked about how the a smartphone can send an email and then that transfers to the internet and sends to the recipient.
What i know so far is that,
Mobile phone - Use of 3g, which sends data to a communication centre - this is taken to a data centre which belongs to the network provider where it is then transfered to the internet server. - from here it is then sent to the data server for the e-mail server - the computer then sends a request for the e-mail to the server which then sends the e-mail to the computer.
Can anyone provide me a bit more detail about this, because i seem a little confused about this, and i am assuming it is the same in other countries such as america?
Any help would be much appreciated guys.
Oh and as a note, No this is not coursework it is a general query that i am wondering about.
