A few years ago I experienced an accident, and that memory still troubles me.

Angelo, I'm sure glad that you made it out of that ok. I hope you heal faster than expected to be able to get back to normal and feel better sooner. You might have that driver pay restitution for anything that you are out if it goes to court. Take care of yourself.

thanks shawn - have you or your spacemates got any pelvic implants i could borrow to speed up recovery? i don't want any probing, only implants

Sorry to hear about your accident BUT glad you are alright! Everything else is replaceable accept you.
As far as a pelvic implant goes maybe one of the GFX'rs can design one for you..What color do you want it?
Just joking as to take your mind off the pain.
Did they x-ray it and find any breaks or chips in the pelvic area?
If not just try to rest and take pain meds as prescribed and only when you can't stand it any longer.

x-rays reveal two fractured pubic ramii (the ring bits on each side at base of pelvis). they will heal on their own, eventually. it's difficult to avoid the pain because i'm sitting right on my injury - i've been advised not to stay in bed too long. i'll have to grin and bear it for a while.

You get well soon Mickey you are very fortunate when I Crashed my Scooter (Harley-Davidson) I didn't walk away but like you said were still alive.

Just seen the news about your accident Angelo, I'm very sorry but so glad you survived the crash, as you said the breaks will heal the main thing is you're alive.
I'm glad there was a witness who upheld your story that makes things so much better when you get to court, it shows you aren't trying to pull a fast one. You take things easy and I hope you recover quickly, just mind the cats don't trip you up or jump on you too hard.
