Today, my wife told me that one of her co-workers fell off his ATV and broke a couple bones. The reason he fell off it? He was texting someone while driving it.....
Seriously, what is wrong with people?
It's a dangerous stuff to do, not only to them but also to other. Funny thing was, it happened to me. I saw I biker texting in front of my car, suddenly his bike swung to the middle of the road and I instinctively hit my brake, and then other car hit the back of my old Mazda.
    See this!

Today I enjoyed spending a couple of hours with my nephew. (16 mths old)

It's a nice feeling knowing and noticing the subtle changes that as the older they get get, the closer the bond becomes and what a precious thing it is to have them instinctively place an unspoken implicit trust in you.

It's also good to be able to hand them back to 'mum' when the sticky fingers start heading towards your PC/tech equipment

Been spending quite a lot of time trying to induce my German Gold Rams (thats a species of fish to you ignorant lot ) to breed....at $39 a fish I want some return on my investment. I don't quite seem to have the right setup....I think the Lace Gourami's may be too threatening, so I'll move them to the other tank this weekend.

I have a friend who used to work in an Aquatics Centre. These fish were particularly difficult to breed but I do remember him saying that they used to reduce the water level in the tank by at least 4 inches and leave it like that for 5 days. Then on day six he would fill the tank back up but with cold water. Something to do with tricking the fish into thinking there had been a drought and now there was heavy rainfall?

Anyway, within 3 hours the fish were spawning.

Yes, that s a well known trick in many species.....and exactly right : the colder water, especially if its dribbled in to mimic rainfall induces breeding : I've used that technique with Giant Danios before. I didn't think Rams reacted to that, but I might just try that.....cheers for the reminder.
