Nice one, cheers.
Hi Darren,
I don't know much about Python, I have a friend who knows it but apart from that, I can't really comment on what it's like as a language. I would recommend sticking to something that is part of .NET, of which VB is the easiest :)
I'm sure you'll pick up VB.NET in no time.
Lol, well hopefully you'll never need to take me up on it, but if you do then I'll do my best to help :)PS I hope you don't end up regretting that offer Tom. :)
I think I would get fed up with VB before I get fed up with Darren
Tom
That's the one they are teaching for my Information Systems major here at Cleveland State University. A free tool to help you get started:
Visual C# 2010 Express | Microsoft Visual Studio
By the way, I'll be 53 in May and just went back to school in 2010. I wish I had done it when I was 45. I'm not too old, so you sure as heck aren't!
Visual basics 2010 installed, course book purchased & converted to mobi format for kindle, seems a nice way of working so far.
Chapter 1 & 2 toolbox & forms, great fun, chapter 3 Variables.......oh dear!
Fresh head tomorrow me thinks.
