Being just old enough to remember her being a pop star, then on top of the world, and then the landslide straight to the bottom, it's kind of scary.

I don't want to say that it's "typical" but it does seem to happen a lot. She had a history of really bad habits, and seemed to straighten out, then relapse many times.

She was great at one time, and it's just sad how downhill her life went after reaching the very top. So much talent, and dead at such a relatively young age.

RIP Whitney.

It's a shame, but there is also a different feeling when someone throws it all away...

well said,

alcoholism and drug abuse have no social boundaries.

what is sad is the death of a relatively young woman and a waste of talent she clearly had at one time,

Dies in it's sleep
My computer is generally working great, but has this sad habit of dieing in its sleep and powering off. I'm never around to see it happen. There's no BSOD as far as I know, but when I power up there's always the "do you want to power up in safe mode" screen - I choose normal and it usually...
