Hi there
In my experience Management have been wanting "Team Players" but I think today that concept is DEAD.
The Idea of a "Swarm" seems much better -- you network with all sorts of people who you might know just a little bit but you know when to get along with them and trust them. - A lot of communication is now "Remote" so you aren't sat in an Office with the same load of people for years and years.
This requires a totally different Skill set to the "Team Player" concept -- you have to be able to Network decently, use your own initiative much more and collabarate with many many more people than just those in the same office.
Yet it seems Management still prefer the "Old Model" which really isn't much use any more in a lot of projects where you rarely see the same individuals for more than one or two days a week if that.
Just my notice on this -- Any one else think Management is still trying to push outdated skills.
Just an interesting topic for a Friday PM just before finishing for the weekend.
Cheers
