No, I'm talking about places where you can stream movies for free, like Hulu.com, or download them free, like archive.org. Of course, those sites have some good movies, but if you are looking for something specific, that may be hard to find.

OK, I see your point. Yes, no one place has it all. Why one has not been treated escapes me. Seems if there were it would be very profitable! May have something to do with copyright laws.

Only if the website was streaming or downloading it illegally. Of course, it would be very difficult for one location to keep tabs on all other locations, and know whether it was legal or not.

You mean torrent sites like Piratebay.se/ Then use torrent downloading software. Download it to your HDD, and convert the file to mpeg4 and burn a DVD. Or simply watch it from your HDD. Then pretty soon there's that hard knock at your door, someone behind the door says this is the police! Open the door or we will break it down!

I said nothing about Piratebay or torrents. There are plenty of legal sites available. My software listed ~4500 of them, but claims to work with ~200,000, all of which stream videos via .flv formats, which are recordable.

Yes, there are plenty of legal sites available to watch movies on. But, according to copyright laws. It's illegal to make a copy. Your suppose to only buy a retail copy. So, even using legal websites to download a movie and then make a copy of it is illegal.

Yes and no. There are a lot of movies in the public domain. Especially those which are considered classics...at least by my definition.

Yes, the public domain ones are without copyright. But, those are very few. And I'm sure that count is no where near 45K.
