Is there an online service where I can put "pins" onto a map?

For example, places I want to visit.

I think with Google Earth you can do that. http://www.google.com/earth/download/ge/agree.html

You're right Google Earth can do that and you have many choices of pins.

google earth is a program which you download and run on your pc, whereas google maps is all online.

you did ask for an online service?
