Windows 7: Minecraft and Fraps

Minecraft and Fraps

Hello all, I figured this would be the best place for this.
When I started out using Fraps all was good, everything worked. As time went on I slowly got more issues. Currently when recording - and only when recording - I get random game freezes. My game will freeze for 5-7 seconds. Also the longer I record the more off sync my voice gets from the video (and other people on Ventrillo). If I record for say 2 hours at the end of the 2 hours I will say things about 5-7 seconds before it actually happens or before the other person on Ventrillo says something. For example, I will answer a question then the person will say the question. I have searched around for solutions but can't seem to find much.
My computer can defiantly handle fraps so I don't know why I am having so many issues.

1.5 TB Secondary drive I record too
Windows 7 64-bit

Fraps settings:
I have tried 29.97/30/50/60 FPS all with locked framerate and without locked. Currently using 30 fps unlocked
Force lossless RGB capture unchecked - tried with checked
Record Win7 sound on stereo (have tried on mulitchannel)
Loop buffer length is 30 seconds

Drivers, Java (64bit), Fraps, and Ventrillo are up to date. I run CCleaner, Defragler and MSE often so I don't think there is a issue with junk files/viruses.

I can't figure out what the issue is, any ideas?
