Inkjet cartridge expired? Not necessarily...

I've had a Kodak Diconix 150+ portable inkjet printer for many years, but haven't used it in quite some time.

Just the other day I had a need for portable printing so I wondered if the Kodak still worked. Of course the cartridge that I had stupidly left in the thing wouldn't work, but I had several "new" ones still in the package.

Uh oh, the expiration dates are Aug 2001 and Jan 2002. Oh well, I'll give one a shot. Opened one of the HP packages (Jan 2002) and put it in the printer. It WORKS!

How good is that?

Tape Cartridge Backup -- does it still work in W7
Hi all. This might seem a bit of a dinosaur technology question but some businesses still rely on TAPE cartridges for backup. I know you can get 1 TB usb disks which are probably MANY times cheaper than a decent tape subsystem - to say nothing of the cartridges themselves - however a lot...
