Made some Windows 8 videos for those who still think

If you are still not sure whether to dive into Windows 8, you may want to have a look at the nine Windows 8 videos I made. They cover anything from initial boot (not obvious) to Task Managent, the Ribbon, the Charms, the new IE, etc..These videos are not perfect, but they give you a view of an average user (that's me).

I stored a PDF on my Skydrive that has the controls for the Youtube videos. If you have a PDF add-in in your browser, you can start the videos directly from there. Else use Chrome. You can also download the one page PDF.

Windows 8 isn't too bad. It just needs more work to work properly with the mouse. Navigating the Windows Store is a pain with the mouse. Same thing with some other Metro apps. Metro itself is easy, but they didn't put that cool scrolling feature in the Metro apps. That and customization are lacking in Windows 8. If they get those things fixed, then I may purchase Windows 8. Otherwise, I will stick with Windows 7. People shouldn't be afraid to try Windows 8. It's not like it's going to delete all of your sata or anything. Also, thanks for sharing the videos with us. I will try to watch those later, if I can.

I did not really want to start a Windows 8 pro and con discussion here. There are enough threads dealing with that. These videos just show you the system as is and are supposed to give a little orientation to those who just start using it or are contemplating to use it.

Sorry. I did get a bit off topic. What I meant was that people shouldn't be scared to try it. It's not as bad as a lot of people say it is.

Right. I actually think Windows 8 is pretty good. I like some of the new features and the Metro does not bother me. I always hated the old start. I think this new start is progress - if they only could give us more contrast and better color choices for the tiles.

It is a lot better in high def - but not everything runs in high def. This is my start in high def:
