Transit of Venus : 5/6 June 2012

Quote:
When Venus passes directly between earth and the sun, we see the distant planet as a small dot gliding slowly across the face of the sun. Historically, this rare alignment is how we measured the size of our solar system.

The next transit of Venus occurs June 5 or 6, 2012, depending on your location. Observers in North America see it the evening of June 5. This will be the last transit of Venus to occur in your lifetime.

Sorry, had to get that out my system. Time to dust out the ol' telescope I suppose. Wait, sun-. Nevermind, I suppose I'll have to wait like everyone else for the pretty wallpapers.

I actually can see a unusually big, bright object in the night sky here. Don't know if its Venus or not but its definitely not a star.

M-Audio Transit USB
Does anyone have any experience with M-Audio's Transit USB in Windows 7 64-bit? Employing M-Audio's BETA Vista 32 or normal XP drivers within Vista's SP1 / XP SP2 compatibility mode, I got the Transit USB running well enough under Windows 7 32 build 7068. In contrast, the M-Audio's production...

The Venus Project
The Venus Project O_O 70s' vision of the 21st century? Pretty much looks like it. While I would love to live in that kind of environment, I doubt this comes to life because, even if they don't want money anymore, this'll be impossible to remove. Also, complety "destroying" current cities...
