Reply to sender option not working or what?

So I'm in my Visitor Messages tab and i have the option Reply to sender below each message . But when i click on that link it just takes me to another page where i can only see conversation between x user and me. No input box for writing messages or anything else meant to make a conversation. My question is why? Is it because my status? (new registered user) Is it because is there some kind of option to disable receiving messages and some users have it enabled?

it may be because you joined two days ago,( though i doubt it as you can send VM's)
if you can see a conversation between you and x then they dont have receiving messages turned off .

I don't know who to thank, but on Visitors messages tab just appeared the input box, and a check box near each message. Beside that a Private messages link appeared on some pages I don't know if i was so blind until now and i didn't noticed, or Sf team took care of it. Anyway thank you all for your interest in helping me.

I get Rep Thanks and don't know how to do the same for others. I get the clicking on the scales to give reps but how do you respond and say thanks when someone else gives you a Rep?

Ken, if you see a rep, you can click on the name of the person who gave you rep, under Posted by, and you will be taken to their profile, where you can then leave a message via the text box at top.
