TV dinner again (been forgetting to mention the nine pills every morning) only breakfast is just now happening at 1 PM. (Rant alert!) Like an idiot (an anal one at that), I was up all night wrestling with an outlet upgrade (I would love to meet the donkey excavations who cut an oversized hole in the wall and installed the original outlets; what a couple of maroons!) dealing with stupid little problems. I would get so (censored) angry at the unnecessary problems those two (censored) caused (it was bad enough that I had to reach over a washing machine to get to the outlet; this old age business is for the birds), I would have to take frequent breaks to cool down. Being the anal old b**ch I am, I can't just leave a job unfinished although I eventually had to stop for a few hours, until just a little while ago (at least I got some sleep), to let the glue dry where I had to put in a patch to replace the sections of wall the first (censored) dipstick had cut away, leaving nothing for the plaster ears on the oldwork box I had to install to rest against. At least it's done now and I finally have enough outlets there.

(Rant over. You are now being returned to your regularly scheduled thread.)

I think you need more fiber in your breakfast.

Joe..have you tried the indidual packets of Quaker oatmeal, I think they are instant oatmeal , they are very easy to prepare, just heat the water to boiling, pour over the oatmeal in a bowl , ( I add the sugar, real butter, then cover mine with a saucer ) until I'm ready to eat when my buttered toast is ready, along with big glass of O.Juice, 8 or so vitamines/minerals daily....maybe a cup of coffee if I have time and an oatmeal/raisin cookie....takes little time actually.

My breakfast is country size on weekends, all the real goodies, grits, bacon or ham, home made biscuits, country sawmill gravy, eggs prepared almost any way, hashbrowns , nice and brown, maybe some home made plum jam, O. Juice, coffee or hot chocolate... no time for all of these when I have little time, before working.

Oh, of course I've had them but not in a long time.

Lately, it's dry cereal mostly, beans on toast perhaps once a week, eggs probably once a week and S.O.S. for Sunday breakfast.

For the record, friends I have had the flu since last Sunday morning. Pretty bad case of it and I think I am over most of it except for a terrible cough. Ready or not, I'm going make it to the drug store tomorrow and get some cough drops and other cough medication. Maybe some ice cream too.:)

I'm the primary care giver in this family and Fred is no help.

A couple of fried eggs, fried potatoes and 4 strips of bacon, with a pot of coffee to wash it all down.

Ohhhh wow, the flu is awful, never had anything that really put me flat on my back until a few years ago, I was told I had a bad case of the old time flu that lasts 2 full weeks, thought I would just go ahead and die as bad as I felt, if I knew I would not get well, then I had pneumonia , the coughing lasted 6 weeks. I've never missed getting a flu shot since, you can see why .I'm usually
healthy, the whole thing shocked me, along with taking so long to recoup from, my gf said she could hear my breathing rattle on the phone, when she called to check on me.
You must teach Fred to help...!!!!

Don't know how you do it Bill! When I get up in the morning I am always hungry and by lunch time I'm starving once again.
