What does everybody do in their spare time

In addition to having a keen interest in computers, I'm also interested in
    --movies and home theater equipment.
--radio control cars (both electric and nitro
--cycling (mountain biking and road biking)
--reading (mostly fiction. Dan Brown, King, Baldacci, Meltzer, Grisham)

The radio control cars are run now as my kids are 4.5 and 2 and they absolutely love them.

So, what does everybody else do when they aren't sitting in front of the computer and surfing this website???

well, aside from sitting here most of the day. i like to:

    *Play my guitar
*have epic battles with the giant spider in the corner
*watch the cows across the street do stuff.

... not much to do in my neck of the woods. which leads to starring at the ceiling

    *sitting here, on the interwebz
    *watching tv
*trying to become obese (failing so far)

i wish i still had my bike. it was a $50 pos mountain bike with an 80cc motor rigged to it. the damn thing would do 30mph on flat land. lots of fun. check it out

I rebuild/recycle computers for giveaway to immigrant families. This can eat up quite a bit of spare time, as I will go to extremes to avoid actually buying new parts. Just try finding two 256MB PC133 SODIMMs for free or a touchpad assembly for an antique Dell laptop.

I spend 1.5 hours, sometimes 2+, each day playing with kids in the neighborhood (ages 3 to 13). There are usually about 15 of them. Nerf football, wiffle ball, dodge ball (with the ball of pain), foot races, bike races, swimming lessons, beachball volleyball, rocket balloons, mentos rockets.

Every other weekend we go to the old folks home. Magic tricks, jokes, putting practice, tall tales and bald faced lies.

When I still lived in the Rockies, frequent trips onto the mountains were de riguer.

My beautiful wife's family holds a number of feasts for every purpose and cause imaginable.

    I read extensively.

Well being in school I had the whole summer off, first 3 weeks I worked at a bible camp, then about a week off, visited some family for about another 2 weeks. Now the rest has been mostly sitting around doing nothing, except today there was a circus in town! But tommorow back to schooling.

Being retired spare time is all I have. But, at present it is taken up during the day attempting to get back my strength after my last stroke (can't do anything about the mind it was lost a long time ago).

However, my day time is taken up with golf (18 holes walking at least three days a week). Also, pedaling my bicycle around the country side (live out in Hooterville); try to do this at least three days a week when I am not out with my Camera shooting scenic shots (the Idaho Sawtooth Mountains are just a short way out the back door).

Then after dinner I am on the computer turning all my old records (33s and 45s), and reel to reel tapes into mp3 files. Then about midnight I jump on line with Seven Forums for a hour or two. :)

We are not that messy. :)

I generally fix things up around the house or play video games.
