    Mini-Schnauzers?

Anyone have or ever had a Mini Schnauzer?

Theres a local litter that will be ready next week, and was thinking about picking up a little female (1 of 2)
The lady can show proof of AKC/Bloodline etc, but doesnt want to give papers with them. Im assuming because she doesn't want others locally breeding?

At any count, thats not a issue for me, as showdog or breeding is of no concern to me. But Im also a bit curious if may be a bad thing shes doesnt want to give them, even though I dont particularly want/need them.

Just curious how these little guys do as a indoor pet .. ease of training etc. from those with some hands on experience.

So I decided to get one :)

Little female, and shes almost 9weeks old now.
Im actually quite surprised. She adapted quite well and seems to have formed a good bond pretty quick.

Shes taking to house training well. She was 7 weeks when I got her, and just kept praising her for going outside. Was taking her after a nap and meals. Now shes going to the door and barking most of the time when she has to go.

I was actually quite impressed. Especially this young. Shes also learned No, Sit, and Shake.
Not much, but at only 9weeks I can't believe it TBH.
She seems to be quite smart, but I haven't really had many dogs in the past to base anything on. the ones I have had were through the puppy stages by the time I got them.

The downside is she can be stubborn and have a attitude at times. Especially when she doesnt want to do something Im telling her. She growls and barks at me to argue about it before giving in.
And as all puppies, she want to chew and taste everything!

Congratulations on the new pup. Hopefully she'll not chew up everything to much.

    Thanks :)

I tried to get a pic before she pounced on my phone. Was curious all along, but once it made the sound of a picture being taken she was all over it

A handful ATM, and requires constant monitoring. And I mean literally, I turn my attention for 30 seconds and shes into something she shouldnt be.
But hopefully it'll all be worth it later when she gets a bit older and knows whats expected of her.

She looks adorable, hopefully you shouldn't have too much trouble with her as long as you make sure she knows you're the leader of the pack and what you say goes.
    Good luck with her.
