My god, but I am sick of hearing it. It annoyed me when it started with the 2000 Sydney Games - 12 years on it still makes me cringe.
I agree it is cringe.
Australia isn't doing that well this Olympics but that's sport - take the ups with the downs. The athletes train so hard for this 4 year meet and it must be disappointing when they don't do as well as they hoped. However, some other countries need a better moral boost at the moment.

The cable car was actually a God send. My girlfriend and I set off a couple of hours after her Mum and Brother set off. They were there by the time we set off, so we set off to catch the tube from Clapham South. Got there and there were apparently delays because of an incident at Tooting, so we quickly headed to Clapham Junction to get the train to Waterloo, then jump on the tube to North Greenwich, caught the cable car, which only took 5 mins to cross the Thames and we were at the ExCel. Got there in good time.

It was very electric at the end. Especially when the Indonesian guy got Silver. I think he was everyone's favourite being the underdog of it all. China dominated (not a surprise). He managed to get every lift, and tried to get the WR at the end, but didn't make it. The Indonesian guy was like 7th or 8th, but his last lift got him to 2nd place and the hold arena erupted with a standing ovation. Was spectacular.
