not long to go now folks,
this is the genuine article
I need to get my train tickets booked to get down to London for the Olympics. My darling girlfriend got tickets.
yeah, renting their pads out no doubt.
if you have a few quid to spare you could rent one of these for the short term...
Foxtons: Properties for rent
Some are doing that.
Plenty of others ( including those who do not own their pads) are getting away from the mayhem .
It will be like the black hole of Calcutta centrally.
i must admit i would prefer to watch it from home, though it would be some experience, i would like to be in the stadium for the Athletics and the track events.
Yes, I would like to be there as well.
I refused to take part in an overpriced lottery where you most likely end with no tickets at all, or even a ticket for something you don't really want.
That applies even to those who live here - which is ridiculous.
Yea I'll get some photos and everything. My girlfriend got stuck with Men's Weightlifting, but it is a final so we see a medal awarded. As SIW2 said, it's stupid as she lives in London.
I'm not looking forward to the week there though. Travelling around London is gonna be mayhem. It's already bad enough in rush hour. When I was there last weekend, as I was on the train leaving on Sunday a few Londoners were on the train leaving for a few weeks and they were saying they're glad they're not around for it.
My girlfriend and I both don't agree with how the Olympics has been organised here, but we are only going as it's a once in a lifetime kinda thing. We were both at the Diamond Jubilee together. Got really close to the front of the crowd when the royal family were on the balcony, so might as well make the most of this year and go to the Olympics as well :)
Will watch this from the comfort of my own home.
After all that I've heard from Theresa May and the potentially messy security situation with those contractors and them bringin' in the army, the telly's where its at.
