    Olympic Fever

Well its finally here, tomorrow 19/5/12 sees the start of the Olympic torch route that travels the length of the UK.
in my town the flame will pass through about 12:20 pm and is set to be a big occasion.
All the car parks have free parking on the day to encourage a good turn out.
the towns garden department have been grafting furiously making the route (and town) look its best.
the kids have their flags ready and don't really know what all the fuss is about,
for me , i love the olympics, i was never a big sportsman but my sporting claim to fame in my little pond is that i broke the fourth year shot put record of our school, it was quite an old school and my record stood for around ten years, i also won the javelin that day
, came second in the hundred meters race, and our team won the relay race
i won the victor ludorum that year

so let the games begin.... in 70 days 11 hours, not that im counting

st ives is nice and has the tate gallery if you like culture,

try going to the minnack theater ,its beautiful ,if you can book for a show in the evening, take a flask and travel blankets.

    St Micheals mount
is also a nice place to go,

When you buy a pasty, look for a Rowes bakers as imo they make the best , ive been testing them for a few years now

quite often here in cornwall if the weather is crap on one coast its nice on the other so keep an eye on the forecasts,
you may want to visit the Eden Project whilst you are here, thats an excellent day out, dont know if you have kids , but if you do they may enjoy newquay.

mousehole ,pronounced mousle by the locals, gets its name because there is a cave entrance in the cliffs that resemble a mousehole.
