Skydrive with directory link (symlink), issue?

So, I read that you can create symlinks within your special "SkyDrive" folder and have it synchronize multiple folders.

So, I went into C:\skydrive and created a link with the following
    mklink /d C:\skydrive\folder2 C:\folder2.

Thus, I would get a symlink within C:\skydrive called folder2, which would contain the contents of C:\folder2.

Well, this appeared to work fine, and the contents of folder2 were indeed pushed to the cloud.

However, later, I added a new file directly to C:\folder2 and this did not sync automatically to the cloud. I could "see" it within my SkyDrive folder, but it had not transferred.

I found a workaround, if I create a new file in the root of C:\skydrive, it will sync this new file and then resync the contents of my symlinked folders. But it's like the app cannot detect natively the change in the symlink folder.

Any of you other guys/gals using Symlinks and can have you seen my issue?

I think this is a problem with SkyDrive, as this thread is very close to what I am describing

Yes, it seems I will never quite get any of these applications to work as I want.
