Cool, but still concept prototype yes? Think I read about that guy a couple months ago, iirc there were still efficiency issues. Would be great for the commute here, there's even a nice large grassy field near my company building to land on. The only downside maybe is all those power lines nearby and the fact that tropical thunderstorms are common enough here.

Probably wouldn't be able to resist buzzing the regular morning highway traffic jams either. "Hey you down there in the Porsche, how's that working out for you? lol bye".

It wouldn't help much if the intake gets clogged!(birds, bird feathers, insects, etc.) "Look... up in the sky! It's a winged torpedo... INCOMING!" Ccccccrraassshhhhhh.... "right on the roof of that Porsche!"

The design is a lot like a hang glider likely using kerosene as the fuel for the 4 rocket type engines on it.

Back in the late 60s someone came up with a backpack helicopter setup with a fold our prop that sprayed peroxide out of the nozzles on the tips of the blades to see the assembly spin. That lifted the person on the idea of a jet pack. Popular Science and later Omni Science magazines had articles on it and it could dropped down to someone stranded to see them fly out.

YouTube has a more recent version of it using a different fuel with a stand.

Saw that the other day, but not the video just the story about it and the still photo's. Got more nerve than me that's for sure.

Me too. I don't even like flying in a jumbo jet.
