    Once you've flown on a commercial flight a few times it may seem like you are on a larger bus then you would be accustomed to with public transportation until you go through some turbulence or while manuvering for landing. Even that becomes very familiar after a few flights.

    Now for something like a regular helicopter or Cessna light aircraft some could develop a phobia much faster since you see everything unlike an airliner where you only look out a port hole sized window.

    On the other hand someone who skydives or flies a hang glider wouldn't be anywhere as skiddish of something on the idea of a jet pack while you on the other hand realize that you are the one flying it! There is no one else flying it but you!
