Help Please to disable predictive text on Samsung IIIs smart phone

    Hi there
I'm struggling with an android app from Goole Play store
Everything was fine until it asked me for my name and then switched to predictive text mode.

How do I DISABLE this wretched thing -- every time I enter something it inserts all sorts of letter I don't want.

Other apps are fine - just key in normally but how do I KILL the predictive text.

Phone is Galaxy Samsung IIIs great phone except for this WRTECHED PREDICTIVE Text "Feature" which I can't seem to get rid of.

Hi there again --Found it --- case of "RTFM !!!!!!.

    Cheers

    Hi there
yes but I'd bought the phone in Belgium (as they are always unlocked --it's illegal in Belgium to supply a phone that's locked --even on contracts) and the set up language was in Dutch -- It took me a while to switch the languages .

    Cheers

    Hi there.
predictive text has always been a nuisance, my wife has predictable text, i can usually guess what its going to say, ie, when are you coming home the kids are doing my head in, or can you pick up some milk.
i prefer the old method of talking and can recommend a landline. failing that
try the new goldstriker iphone 3g supreme, that has tha ability to turn off predictive text and turn heads also
