I don't know exactly why... but like you said, people here are helpful, friendly and above all things they are extremely professionals...

Is just like Shawn described SevenForums on Best Website contest:

Our forum is dedicated to helping you find solutions with any problems, errors or issues you are experiencing with Windows 7. The Windows 7 forum also covers news and updates and has an extensive Windows 7 tutorial section that covers a wide range of tips and tricks.
That's the spirit of this great community... that's why we won the contest and that's why I love SevenForums :)

    Nice thread!

I must say there are some good and some less good days.
Depends very much on the OPs.

But I love the way the "core" members jump in and don't let go until a problem is solved.
And the only thing we want in return is a few points on our rep sheet.
And we mostly get those from our fellow "core" members.

I love the fact we all keep each other on a straight line when we tend to react to harshly.
Although I sometimes feel a newbie is often cut more slack by the mods, than the ones dedicating all there time and effort in here.
Loyal members should get the benefit of the doubt before the newbies.
    (My honest opinion)

But having said that, I do think the Mods are doing a great job at keeping this forum the friendliest and most descent on the internet.

I don't like the poll threads.
Most of the time they turn into ugly dogfights between members.
After getting sucked into them a few times, I tend to stay away from poll threads.

    Bottom line
If at the end of the day we relieved someone's stress and frustration, it's worth the occasional troll.

    Greetz

Edit: Most days are good, a few are less.

I'm glad people are posting on this.

I forgot to mention, this forum is one of a few that I actually learn things from.

(the only other ones happen to be insanelymac.com and another forum I cannot think of right now.. obviously didn't learn much there lol)
