Apparently parts of the UK will be getting a months worth of rain in the next two days. But, on the plus side, the British GP will hopefully be a wet race which usually = carnage.
We've got a small break atm but for the past hour it's been torrential
Hit 100+ here....with heat indexes about 109. Been that way pretty much all week. This morning at 7:15 AM it was 79 deg.
I called the power company about the 1/2 tree hanging on the power line. I explained to them that if that top line broke, it would probably take the lower 2 out along with the phone lines & during the last storm our power flickered like crazy along with every house on the street.
They told me that they would have to contract it out to a forestry service and they wouldn't be out for 7 to 14 days. Unless it DID break & we lost power completely, then they would come out as soon as possible.
Does this seem illogical to anyone else? If the lines break, they'll have to fix 3 sets of them. Wouldn't it be more to their advantage to send someone out & at least cut the tree branch & worry about cleaning it up later?
It's so hot here my cat is asking for a hair cut. I think.
