I usually download stuff from download.com and not the author's site as I belive download.com to be free of spyware/virus etc. Is this right as they had a spyware free tag under the download link a while ago but I don't see it anymore, is it safe to download from them or not? Some software comes...
some programs i don't want to keep getting a pop-up window asking if i want to allow the program to make changes. i don't see a way to remove that for a specific program. is it possible to do that?

I'd like to know whether the function to block URLs in Family Safety (part of Live Essentials) would affect Internet Explorer only or system wide (on all browsers)?
Also, if I want to block certain user accounts to view and edit a specific folder, is it possible?
