    Bill,
    Just a note.

I notice that you use the Media Player Classic- Std Windows Media Player won't do much with filetypes | .swf | .flv | .mov | unless you install codecs.

I just downloaded the VideoLAN VLC media player (well regarded on the net - we shall see) to replace Windows Media Player. I'll see how it performs before suggesting it.

    Bill
Actually, WMP will play .swf, and in fact LPT was able to play it, it just "echoed". A Guy

Try the alternate version here - it downloaded andplayed fine for me. I used Realdownloader to grab it and WMP to play it.

Bill did you try downloading it ( right click "save target as") to the desktop or anywhere else ( I saved in my pictures library ) and using adobe flash player 10 ? works perfectly for me :)
Or use the original software Adobe - Adobe Shockwave Player that it was recorded with
Try right clicking the link in your original post, and "save target as" to your desktop, then see if you can play it in flash, or shockwave, or even in WMP as you did. See if it echoes if you save it yourself. It still echoed for me with this method

There is no way it could be you Bill

I PM'd LPT and suggested that is all else fails, I can eMail the .mp4 file I downloaded to her.

For the record.... I used Realdownloader (small footprint) to grab the file and it played in vanilla WMP (no extra codecs) without any echo.

Since you brought up "It must be me..." and WMP can play .swf files........ Well, it must be me - I can't play .flv or .swf files in WMP. Note, I don't have shockwave installed - so maybe it's not me

A Guy thanks.. I've followed your last instructions 5 times , saved to my desktop.. each one has the terrible echo.. so i've deleted all.
I did late last night save one in Internet Explorer.. it opens and plays perfectly.
Thank you Pebbly , for your suggestions, I now have shockwave on my laptop also.:)
