I went to work this morning, and then played Fable II for a while, and now going to watch Elf; I have had such an interesting weekend

Well after giggling at the today thread I have a few mentions....

Kari I love the fact you wanted to be a reindeer that made me giggle.

Apple92 Many congratulations on your post as Vice President for the Peace Loving Club, your hard work is definitely paying off.

For John and his spaghetti monster each to their own I say.

Blue robot ...I love The film Elf it makes me laugh hysterically.

As for me today, I have watched Mars needs Moms with Han and taught her how to make a fruit cake, she in turn reiterated this to her teddies who were sat watching us.

sounds like a pleasant day angie, i spent the morning making gingerbread men, women and stars with danny and selina, they were really nice chewy like expensive cookies
we also sent our letters to santa,

i ought to say that since i was a child our family sends santas letters up in the air, how we do it is to use tissue paper as the writing paper,
when the letter is finished you screw it into a ball and unravel it again then you roll it into a tube a little smaller diameter than a toilet roll core.
then you light the top of the paper it burns down to the bottom of the paper then the magic happens...

the whole thing lifts off the surface and floats in the air
a bit like this .

its funny to think people are making money out of this idea that we have been doing since i was a kid.

Baroness, this reindeer / goat oxymoron refers to the FNG badge that newest Gold Member has to display in signature, as stated for instance here.

Kari does the FNG stand for effing?

I have to admit Kari and my apologies for this but it does look like a goat.

I seriously need to go to sleep but its just not happening.

Julian I am very impressed that you have been baking with the children.

Better check on Julian in hope that he is not baking the children.
Now go to bed and get a good nights rest.

Every time the badge is given to a new Gold Member there's discussion about the meaning of this acronym. I believe the general consensus is that it means Fine New Goldmember, although other meanings for the letter F are often suggested...
