I need to be able to drag one of 270 Bookmarks from a Menu Bar dropdown into the post text, position and edit it if needed. I can drag several a minute this way while I work without breaking concentration. It's important enough that when Firefox version 12 started turning them into URLS as soon as I dragged them, I couldn't use it any more just because I need the name intact to edit it. But I don't know how long I can stick with v.12 without it growing insecure and old.

I dont' even see a Chrome Bookmark's menu there but if I wanted to give up real estate to the Bookmarks toolbar and it has a dropdown at the end when it fills up, can I drag a bookmark from it into a post intact? Last time I tried it a year or more ago no other browser can do this.

Greg : I'll fill up my bookmark toolbar and test this. Did my picture make sense to you? Did I understand the link dragging that you want to achieve correctly?

From Bookmarks toolbar or another dropdown?

Very cool. I'm onto it. Thanks.

Greg : from a bookmark toolbar that overlapped off the actual toolbar because of real estate used up (see picture). Chrome is smart - it sucked all my FF bookmarks straight in, no problems.
