Today... I've finally got to sleep a bit since Sep. 4th

My dad's surgery (on Sep. 5th) even though it lasted 2hrs, came out perfectly so I guess it was TOTALLY worth it... He's right now watching TV, he has no stitches whatsoever, his recovery is going really well... 3 days of non-stop driving, non sleeping, no nothing... paid off!

On the other side, like I told you guys, on Sep. 6th I had my appointment in the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Investigations to get my DNA results on Huntington's Disease...

They handed me an envelope with a medical report that said (let me see if my english works like it should)

    Medical Report

Consultant: Punkster Sanders (23 years old)

Locus IT15 amplification results: 17/20 CAG repeats

Interpretation: the locus IT15 study revealed that the consultant does NOT have the Huntington's Disease mutation

Conclusions: NOT being affected by the Huntington's Disease mutation, the possibility of having affected offsprings is completely nule.

    Genetic assessment has been given.

    Sincerely.
    Dr. Sergio Arias.

Now, the 5-ton rock that I had on my shoulders is GONE! I feel like I was born again... I just can't express how lucky and thankful I feel... It's a really-hard-to-understand feeling here are some pics...

    1) Having lunch in a really cool mall near the IVIC... Temps were close to 16ºC and I'm used to 26 ~ 30ºC so I had to wear my jacket...

    2) The experimental medical facility... There, they took my DNA sample in March and gave me the results last thursday...

    3) What was on my back after taking the last picture a Gynormous forest in the mountain...

    4) Same forest... Notice the fog... Later on (a couple of minutes later) I looked at the temp and it was 10ºC

Finally... I'd like to thank you guys for your support and empowerment, you were incredibly helpful when I needed the most... Thank you, Forum!
