Today was the last day of my call taking job. No more dealing with angry customer. That's the best part of moving into support function.

Looks like there's a nvidia driver acceleration issue from some reports. No 3D accel, no native install for me.

Might give it a go in a VM though.

Cheers for the heads, planning to triple-boot this, so I'll give it a go and confirm NVidia issue, or not.

I attended the first day of my 10-day course to-day. We have got a nice tutor and he wants to help all of us if he can. To-day we just got some paperwork done and expenses paid etc, what to do if there is a fire etc.

Tomorrow we are going start on CVs, but I already have a good CV so I'm taking a copy of it with me tomorrow and see what he thinks of it. I am willing change anything if I need to.

Today, after work, I got severely pissed off at someone. Every day over the last week or so, for the same reason, I get really irritated at a particular kind of person. Pretty soon it's going to come to something. Not sure what, but I have a pretty good idea how it's going to start.

No worries Colin. Just look for the 'nvidia whiteout issue'. From a quick look at their forums, someone seems to have found a workaround I think.

(And are you going to use the 'Core' Version? - the other versions ie Multimedia, ultimate and Gaming look better but they aren't free.

Since you've used Zorin before - I assume you can add the missing bit's to the core version, or are some repositories not 'free'?

Also, do you know if Zorin can easilyhandle/mount NTFS RAID 0 drives? - Mint 13 couldn't (and didn't have the patience to bother) which unfortunately earned a cull from my desktop.)

What 'type' of person? maybe we can help give some ideas to help tolerate this particular personality type.

And I presume they are are a work colleague which could have ramifications should you do something?
