Why don't you try your local council, Battle, or Hastings? If what you want is just an office job, then there is usually always something like that going at the council. Of through the Job Centre, then ask for internships as well for experience. You may have to go unpaid with these through the job for a while, but it's something and it's experience. Friend of mine finished University this year, started signing on. Job Centre found him an internship at the council here just doing admin office work and wasn't being paid. 3 or 4 months later he gets offered full time work through the place he was doing his internship, and is on a respectable salary now.

My day today trying to get ASP.NET to play nice for a project I'm working on for a client, but it's not. All I did was switch to a higher spec machine in the office, and everything went to crap when I restored the backup I made. Typical. And there's auditors coming in to the office this afternoon to check everything over, so I'm praying I don't have to demonstrate what I'm working on, lol.

Today. Three of our patient made complaints for losing their cellphone from the bedside cabinets. Later I had the report that a stranger dressed as housekeeper staff had slipped into several patient rooms, probably she took those gadgets.

How about finding a job where people hire you to come to their home and take their pets for a walk?
They have them here in our area and I see them walking/exercising 3-4 pets for an hour. They make anywhere from $25-50 and hour.
This way you, Gracie can take your daily walks with the owner's pets.

Any work is helpful if you really want to work.. rarely does one go straight into an office without any skills..
working at fast food places teach so many lessons/ skills, like getting to work on time., handling money, meeting and greeting people , working within a group, taking orders for food, trouble shooting when people get the wrong ordered food.

Please don't just discount any job before you look into it.. so many times a manager will take one under their arm ( to speak) nurture them into a great employee. If you need assistance with something , just ask, most people are willing to help.

    Thursdays update on Mike(HopalongX).
The good news is he lost 14 lbs of fluid and sound better with a chance of going home on Friday so look later in the day to see if he is signed in.

The other news is the hospital food is re-cycled garbage and the nurses look like they are the ones employed at the re-cycled plant. Both are in need of several upgrades. He sounded good and started lecturing me on taking care of Donna and myself so he is returning to his old self.

I am concerned about when they release him and the oral meds don't get rid of the fluids like the IV's do so he
needs to keep an eye on fluid build up in his legs when he gets home.
Told him to take one day at a time and get up and do some walking and a few low level exercises.

That's it for today and I will check on him again tomorrow. He has been a great friend like so many of you have been to Donna and I so let's hope he signs in tomorrow from his home which is step in the right direction.
